My Story

I believe that we are created to live outside of fear and and inside of our dreams. I’ve given my life to this idea, and everything I do flows out of this belief. Whether I’m standing in front of a crowd of women or stepping onto a train in a foreign nation, I try to live each day as alive, connected and unencumbered.

I’m the North American Director for Women on the Frontlines and a pastor at the Wave Church in Winnipeg. I spend my time inspiring, coaching teaching and empowering others to break free from the limitations and beliefs that have heard them back.

I am passionate above all about living from a place of intimacy with God and authenticity with others.

I am building Women on the Frontlines into a global movement of women who want to make a difference. I am married to Murray and enjoy doing life with my adult children.

As women, we always want to know the real story behind the person. Here are a few snapshots from along the way.

1969- My tendency to dream think outside of the box showed itself early on. 1978- As an introverted teen, I found joy in animals, books, and rooting for underdogs. — **1978**- As an introverted teen, I found joy in animals, books, and rooting for underdogs.

1985- In the early 1980’s I met two amazing men. Jesus and Murray. They both brought new  light and joy into my life. — **1985**- In the early 1980’s I met two amazing men. Jesus and Murray. They both brought new light and joy into my life.

1990- After an infertility diagnosis, a big faith journey and an epic and five day labor, I was rewarded with my first child in 1990. 1997- I was both a stay at home, and working mom for many years as I ran a home daycare, and raised my children. My second son Blake remembers it as “the best life ever, with friends over to play daily.” — **1997**- I was both a stay at home, and working mom for many years as I ran a home daycare, and raised my children. 1999- I continued to build my family through fostering daughters, eventually parenting five children and their endless collection of pets. — **1999**- I continued to build my family through fostering daughters, eventually parenting five children and their endless collection of pets.

2008- I had developed teaching materials for women for many years. I decided to take it to a new level with a film series for women called Looking Beyond the Mirror. The preparation for this included film school and big faith for finances. — **2008**- I had developed teaching materials for women for many years. 2013- I created Encounter Weight Loss. A course to help women resolve emotional eating. — **2013**- I created Encounter Weight Loss. A course to help women resolve emotional eating.

2014- Ordained and licensed as a full time pastor. Public commissioning  of the work I had been doing for years as a lay minister. — **2014**- Ordained and licensed as a full time pastor. Public commissioning of the work I had been doing for years as a lay minister.

2015 -2019 I met Patricia King and we began to work together on WOFL. My role increased each year until 2019 when Patricia commissioned me as the North American director for Women on the Frontlines. — **2015 -2019** I met Patricia King and we began to work together on WOFL. These days my life is spent traveling the globe for Women on the Frontlines
